A brand is an excellent vehicle by means of which a product can be differentiated from its competitors.

Brands have always been important. Investing in brand awareness and brand image resulted in famous brands that survived the storms of changing marketing environments and were powerful instruments of marketing strategy.

What is your client’s Average Order Value? This is a great way to benchmark the Return on Investment in a client’s Search Engine Optimisation services. For example, if the Average order value for a client is £300 and the SEO delivers one £300 job per month then it's covering its costs, based on spending this sum of money per month on SEO. The same applies if they get to the £500 per month SEO package.

Costs for SEO are scaleable and vary according to the number of links built and other monthly activity.

If the SEO can show a direct return of £1,500 per month of business, for example, then it's all relative and worth investing scaleable sums of money for e-commerce businesses. I am sure you see what I mean.

Integrated Marketing Communications (IMC) may sound a bit of a mouthful. What does it really mean to your business? IMC provides the means through which you communicate with and attract new customers. The important thing is to chunk it up. You may not want or need to do all activities at once, in fact, it is probably preferable that you prioritise at any one time, selecting activities that will most benefit the business at any particular point in time. The important thing is to prioritise in line with your business objectives. Planning activity in this way is proven to build a stronger brand over a period of time and save time, money and stress.
